Sharks 8 Preds 5: Six goals in the third

So the game began with the Sharks being hopelessly outplayed by the Predators. It was painful.

The Preds took a 4-2 lead, had outshot the Sharks 200-1, okay it was 35-11. 

I was trying to decide whether I should leave the Pavilion, and then all of the sudden the Sharks decided to show who is boss.

They scored 6 goals in the third period. The highlight goal was by Pavelski. After the goal the entire stadium chanted: USA, USA, USA!

Gold Medal Game: Canada 3 - USA 2

Possibly one of the greatest games I have ever seen.

When the USA scored their first goal on a disputed offside, you could almost feel the whining begin. And then when Crosby failed to score on a breakaway thanks to a brilliant defensive play by Kane, you could feel that destiny had shifted corners.

And with the knives out for Crosby who had played a Joe Thortonesque set of games with no goals and no points in three games, Crosby scores the winner in OT. And when he scored, my head exploded. The scream was so loud that I was breathless.

Heck my dog ran for cover ...

This was a game for the ages.
